School has kept me really busy, but now I'm back!

Fountain of Youth

About a week ago, I went to the Fountain of Youth. One of my favorite parts of the Fountain of Youth was the live wild pecocks. There were white ones, regular ones and almost featherles ones. Total there were 25 of them. I got to feed them peanuts. When you drink from the Fountain of Youth you are supposed to stay young forever. I drank from it! There was even a Indian village.There were people who made arrows and bows. I loved the fountain of youth.

Beach

About 5 days ago, I went to the beach. I made these balls out of sand. They were hard as stone. I went diving and found a shell. I gave it to mom for Mothers day. I loved the beach.

Ryan

About 3 weeks ago, Ryan from Mainecame to see me! Most of the time we were in the water. We got new boogie boards. We got really good waves. Some made me go to dry sand. We also went to Riplys Beleive it or Not Museum. I had a lot of fun when Ryan was here.

School

I'm sorry I couldn't write to you sooner. I've been very busy! 2 weeks ago, I started school. It is a nice school. They are home of the dolphins. I've made some new friends. There is a huge playground that is a park. It is 100 yards long and 150 yards round. It is all wood accept the slides and swings.

There is a street here called St. George street. There is a place called Pizza Time. The pizza is dynamite. There is another place called Shades and blades. It sells swords, battle axes, bee bee guns, war hammers, maces, daggers, nun chucks, air soft guns and amo, armor and shields. I love St. Augustine.

Cocoa Beach

I'm at my grandparents condo at Cocoa Beach Florida. Today, I went to the beach. I found 6 star fish. I built a really cool sand castle. The castle looked like a catamaran with 4 hills around it. It had 42 sand cannons surrounding it. I counted them myself! My dad dug a big hole. The hole was 4 feet deep. I get to watch a lot of TV here. I like staying with my grand parents!

The Story of St. Augustine

My dad has got a job! So we will be staying in St. Augustine for a while. My mom is making me write about the history of St. Augustine.

St. Augustine is 442 years old. It was founded in 1563. St. Augustine's age of 442 years old may not seem significant when compared with ancient Athens, Rome or Memphis of Egypt. But, the city is indeed old. The city and Spanish colony in Florida were settled one after the birth of Shakespeare as well as one year after the death of Michelangelo. For most of the colonial period, St. Augustine was the only significant military station defending the northeastern frontier of the enormous Spanish Empire in America. I like St. Augustine!

Also...

The Atlatl and dart was a long range weapon used by the Native Floridians before the Europeans !

Four days ago, we arrived in St. Augustine. We are going to be in St. Augustine for a long time. There are nice showers. They are really hot! There is a cool fort. It is over one hundred million pounds.It has never been destroyed in battle. We saw a cannon go off. Our friends are coming tomorrow. They are on a 42 foot boat. The name of their boat Bye Polar. They are from the North Pole. There is a wax museum here called Potters Wax Museum. There are some really weird wax people. I really like St. Augustine.

Savannah

Six day ago, we were in Savannah. we were next to a water front park. In the middle of the park, there was a memorial to all of the people who lost their lives at sea. Near the visitor center there is a gryffin. It reminds me of Gryffindor from Harry Potter! The place where we were in Savannah was very old. A lady cracked her head on the ancient stairs. It was not a pretty sight. I went to an old cemetery. There was a wall made out of grave stones. This may seem hard to believe but in Savannah, I GOT MY HAIR CUT BABY yahoo oh yeah uh huh... I liked Savannah a lot!

South Carolina's Suroundings

In South Carolina, there is a type of moss called Spanish moss. It looks like old, long and green hair that grows on trees. In South Carolina there are a lot of alligators.

The capital of South Carolina is Columbia. Barracudas live in South Carolina's waters. The first shots of the the Civil War were fired on Fort Sumter!

Christmas

Four days ago, it was Christmas! I got lots of presents from my parents and Santa. I got 2 DS games. They were called Sonic Rush and Mario Party DS. Mario Party DS has over 70 mini games. I got little bags of stuff. When you throw them, they POP really loudly. I also got fishing supplies, truffles, tablets that turn into bugs when they're in water, 2 race cars, a white tiger, 2 dark Bakugan and a Bakugan card game + 50 Bakugan Ability cards and 70 Bakugan Gate cards. I had Christmas in South Port N.C.

Three days ago I saw bottle cap nose dolphins doing somersaults. They jumped out of the water 5 feet. I also caught my first fish. That day it was 70 degrees. I saw at least 41 pelicans. A few got fish. I've started a french class I have learned 13 french words. French is fun.

Two days ago we took a short trip. It was only 15 miles long. It took about3 hours. There was a military base. I saw huge and loud choppers. They were practicing maneuvers. Also, they were really fast and cool. That day my french words were chat which means cat and chien which means dog. We got to our destination around 12:38.

Cats Dants and Other Things

I am in Oriental N.C.
A few days ago I got batteries for my camera.When I turned on my camera it said please date and time. So I set my date to 12/4/2009. After I set my date I took a few pictures of my stuffed animals, Dante and Edna and Gigi. A lot were of the cats and Dante. My camera can hold 263 pictures ( movies count as five pictures). Two days ago I took about 15 pictures of the cats. I'm really happy my camera is working again.

Now for some boat facts!

Vindhler Facts

The name of are boat is the Vindhler. Our boat has two masts it is a yawl. The name of the front of the boat is called the bow. My bed is in the bow of the boat I have a V birth. The back of our boat is called the stern. The kitchen is called the galley the galley is located in the stern of the boat. I'm allowed 11 stuffed animals. My dad has a gear hammock. It's a small hammock it gets lager when you put stuff in it. About every 3 days we go some where new. On my ceiling of my room I have a hatch. I can open it up and go out side! It's my get out of jail free card!

North Carolina

I am in Elizabeth City North Carolina.We went through the Great Dismal Swamp. The Great Dismal Swamp is about 40 feet long. It was dug by slaves in the 1700's. That was 308 years ago! When we were going through the Great Dismal Swamp I saw some pretty weird trees. Some looked like Dr.Seuss made them. Some looked like ballerinas in tutus and others were growing out of the water. I saw a couple of trees that were very droopy and tall. Those trees also had little spike balls on them. The world's biggest Coast Guard base is in Elizabeth City. At the Coast Guard base they still make blimps. I like North Carolina.

Thanksgiving

You wouldn't believe what my Thanksgiving was like. I had it with complete strangers! The harbor master walked right past us and asked us if we wanted to go to their Thanksgiving party. We said sure. We went over to the place where they were having the party and took some showers. After we took a shower we went to the beach. I found 15 clam shells. They were an inch thick! I also found a snail shell 4 inches round, some coral and a horse shoe crab shell! When we got back it was around 2:00 P.M. It was time for dinner. There were 2 turkeys, stuffing, stuffing balls(a whole lot of them at least 100, mashed potatoes, butter nut squash and a dessert table! I had a lot of fun!

Annapolis

Two days ago we motor sailed from Chesapeake City to Annapolis. That was about a 9 hour motor sail. Unfortunately, we had to sail at night again. When we went under the bridge my dad saw a lot of ships,tankers, and barges. We got some pretty big waves! A couple made me go off of the ground. The name of the bathroom is the head. I'm having a lot of fun!

My first big sail

Two days ago we motor sailed from Cape May to Chesapeake City. That was about a 14 hour motor sail. Wow. I went to bed around 9:45. Most of that time I was helping my dad navigate the boat. Our boat went under 2 bridges. Each one was about an inch taller than our boat's mast. It was exciting to go under the bridges. The fastest we went last night was 8 knots. I'm happy to be back on the boat!

Big Chandelier

Today, my Uncle Sam got a huge chandelier. I would say 85% of it is crystal! One of the crystal icicles broke, but we think there are extra crystals icicles. It's about 6 feet off of the ground. I think it looks very cool!

Tomorrow I was supposed to meet my dad. But the wind is so strong we can't. Our boat is hanging I miss my dad.

Today I went to the Washington Monument!It is 555 feet tall.Wow.To reach the top of the monument it takes 70 sec.My aunt took a picture of me crushing the White House!When you look down, the people looked like ants and the cars looked like barbies.It was awesome!

Two days ago. I went to the zoo.I saw a giant panda eating bamboo.I also saw 2 huge elephants.One had a odd looking trunk.The lions and tigers were really cool!In amphibian house there are turtles size of boulders.The bald eagle was so still for a minute, I thought it was a statue.The beavers dam was awesome.I saw 2 types of cheetahs.I had a lot of fun!

Dante Attack

Today I played with Dante a lot!After breakfast played with him with this gear thingy.You put the gears together and turn on the machine and the gears will spin and do things.One gear is broken.

Before and after lunch, we played with a train set.I built the train track and Dante destroyed it.After that, Dante read me a book.I love Dante!

Air and Space

Today I went to the Air and Space Museum!I watched a movie in a IMAX theater.The screen was gigantic.There was a Wright Brothers room.My baby brother loved a button that made a motor noise.

My mom and I went on a machine where you go upside down!I went inside of a spaceship.I thought the toilet and the shower were the most interesting!There was a big place and it showed the solar system.It was a lot fun!

The Walk

Today I walked with my cousins to school.Then we walked to the grocery store.While we walked there, I listened to my I Pod.When we got to the grocery store, bought diapers, shampoo...When we left the grocery store, my baby brother didn't want to walk so my mom carried him.

But when my mom got tired of carrying, Dante started to walk!My baby brother Dante is obsessed with a purple thingamajig.Dante loves trucks.His two favorite trucks are a garbage truck and a bus.

Today I went to a bookstore.I got a Sonic X book.It's a good book.

Yesterday I went to a place called great falls there are a lot of huge water falls and exquisite birds.I went to a beach made out of shells.I climbed up a surface of a cliff!

Stormy Seas

Hey Gang!

My Dad left yesterday morning on our boat from Portsmouth, NH and he hit a big storm with enormous waves! He crashed by accident in to a light post because the waves were super strong!

He has to wait until Friday to leave Mass., once the North Easter has passed.

Tonight I had shrimp and pasta and pilaf for dinner. For dessert I had three pieces of apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

I am anxious to get on our boat and start heading South with my Dad. I miss him. My Dad is now with some pals from church. SAIL ON DUDES!!!

Today I played a chess game. We called it a draw. I think I would have beaten my Mom. I love chess...and soccer!

Stuck in Vermont
