3 Things

School has kept me really busy, but now I'm back!

Fountain of Youth

About a week ago, I went to the Fountain of Youth. One of my favorite parts of the Fountain of Youth was the live wild pecocks. There were white ones, regular ones and almost featherles ones. Total there were 25 of them. I got to feed them peanuts. When you drink from the Fountain of Youth you are supposed to stay young forever. I drank from it! There was even a Indian village. There were people who made arrows and bows. I loved the fountain of youth.
Facts
1.Juan Ponce found the fountain.
2.In 1493 he joined Christopher Columbes.

Beach

About 5 days ago, I went to the beach. I made these balls out of sand. They were hard as stone. I went diving and found a shell. I gave it to mom for Mothers day. I loved the beach.

Ryan

About 3 weeks ago, Ryan from Mainecame to see me! Most of the time we were in the water. We got new boogie boards. We got really good waves. Some made me go to dry sand. We also went to Riplys Beleive it or Not Museum. I had a lot of fun when Ryan was here.

stay cool,
Blake

  1. Hello Blake. Great to see your new posting and to read/see what you have been up to lately. The adventure at the Fountain of Youth sounds fascinating, and the encounter with the peacocks must have been surreal. They are magical, beautiful birds, almost unearthly in their appearance, striking colors, and eerie voices.

I remember when I was a boy that I often thought about a real fountain of youth and what it would be like to find it. And then, if I drank the water from it, would I always stay the same, think the same, be the same? I wondered whether it would be sad not to grow and want to think and do different things. You were very brave to drink the water from the Saint Augustine spring. Do you think it will change you, and if so, how?

We are all looking forward to your upcoming visit to the waters of Moosehead Lake. It should be a wonderful visit for you and Dante, particularly now that Dante is older. Its always fun to have the whole extended family there. Have you been practicing your poker and monopoly skills? Not that you need practice in those games, having lost to you before! And what about your chess? It would be fun to play a game or two with you regardless of who wins.

You should be getting out of school soon, I imagine, and starting to think about Camp as you look for shade and cool breezes to beat the summer sun. I'm sure you and Dante will be toasted all over when we see you again--two little beach babies! However, judging by the images from you and you Mom, you are anything but babies anymore! You're turning into fine young boys with all the promise of becoming extraordinarily fine young men. Yes, we are proud as peacocks about you and your brother!

    Love to All.
