St. Augustine

Four days ago, we arrived in St. Augustine. We are going to be in St. Augustine for a long time. There are nice showers. They are really hot! There is a cool fort. It is over one hundred million pounds. It has never been destroyed in battle. We saw a cannon go off. Our friends are coming tomorrow. They are on a 42 foot boat. The name of their boat Bye Polar. They are from the North Pole. There is a wax museum here called Potters Wax Museum. There are some really weird wax people. I really like St. Augustine.

Stay Cool,

Blake

  1. Hello Blake,

Great posting and narrative. So glad you like St. Augustine and will be there for awhile. Looks like you and Dante are having a good time and learning a lot more about this marvelous country of ours than you would have had you stayed put and land-locked.

By the way, we saw in your mom's video how far over you were when the tide went out and the Georgia mud grabbed you for a time. Nice to see that you two made a game of it instead of being afraid or overly concerned--just as good, stalwart shipmates should be!

I like the description of the fort and the still-working cannon that is fired off to remind us of another era. Looked like Dante was ready to fire it off by himself in the image which accompanies your post! Keep a close eye on him and on yourself. We may visit you in March--wouldn't that be great!

    Love to you All,

    G & M
